Getting a little better

So I’ve finally gotten off my duff this week and found time for both some bike time and some hand weight time. Doc is going to increase Ozempic to 1mg (should be here today) and my blood sugars are stabilizing. I know that by doubling the dose, I’m going to have another round of complete disinterest in food and a queasy stomach, but that’s ok. Let’s get this weight off.

Hubby is out of the country metal detecting. His friend helped him sort out his phone so he can call home and I am so glad he’s having this adventure. I’m a little jealous of the Caribbean, but there will be time for me to return there as well.

I’ve arranged for help tomorrow for the front courtyard in the form of a strong, young man looking for work. He doesn’t seem to have much of a clue about how to approach the project, but I do so it should be fine. I just don’t intend to kill myself shoveling and hauling wheelbarrow loads of pea gravel. I’ll spend some time this afternoon getting the area sorted out so that all that will need to be done is the gravel part.

Taking 2 of 3 cats to the vet this afternoon. I’ve probably said before that one is losing weight despite being fed every 2-3 hours. Nothing good is going on there.

Weather is going to warm up for 2-3 days and I am thrilled. I’ve got a lot of inside stuff caught up, appointments completed, and days cleared so I can get outside without freezing to death. I am a southern girl and my definition of cold is not what others think for sure. If it’s not 70 degrees or above, it’s too cold unless it’s Fall.

Probably should head outside and attack the courtyard with the leaf blower before I grab a shower and head for Home Depot for pea gravel and garden weed suppresser fabric. Wish me luck.
